Some of you know that we only have 2 rooms left to finish in our basement, and we are officially on our way...after almost 10 years. James started last week by cutting concrete out of the floor to move the drains for the tub and toilet. I apologized for the inconvenience because I was the one who wouldn't settle for less than the jetted jub. When we built our house, I wanted jetts somewhere, but was told it was too much money. Then one day James used one of our tubs and quickly understood my desires for a bigger tub. We never thought cutting the concrete would make such a mess. He had created his own little booth down there to contain the dust, but it quickly found the cold air return and filled the house. Braxton came running down the hall and asked me to 'keep him safe'. As I walked to the hall, the entire house was filling with dust. Lets just say...we'll be cleaning every room from top to bottom over the next month.
Yey!
The drain is officially moved...and the hole is filled with concrete.
Braxton loves to help his dad! I came home on Saturday to see them cleaning up a little. We think it is very important to get proof of these moments when they happen so we can use it when he's older and refuses to lift a finger.
James caught him in all the safety equipment. I think we'll call him Urkel.

Very cute. I love the safety gear. If he wants to do more cleaning send him over.
I am so excited for you guys! Oh, I can't wait to see the day when we finally get to finish our basement. What I've seen, you have done an amazing job with!
We've been redoing our laundry room since the flood in August. We just barely got the tile laid and now I'm waiting for it to cure so that I can seal the grout and completely move everything back in there. It's been a mess and I'm glad it's almost over! At least the washer and dryer are back in their now. For a week we had to have them out and I still haven't quite caught up on my laundry again! You'll love this room when it's done and I'm so glad James can do it. Larry's pretty handy too but the insurance paid the tile man and he did a good job. We don't know how to do tile anyway! I miss seeing you. Email me once in awhile!
It was so good to see what a grown-up boy Braxton was Sunday. I sat two rows behind you and to the left. We went to see Clark and Clint talk. I really wish they still did farewells in the respect of letting the boys speak more about their missions and other topics. Oh well, it was a nice service anyway. Braxton is as cute as can be in the pictures but he's even cuter in real life!!
How fun for you! I think that is awesome for you! Your little boy is so cute.
Looks like fun! NOT. This has been the story of my life for the last 7 1/2 years. We always buy houses that we have to finish or add to or fix. I just don't dust anymore! :) That tub will be worth it.
Haha I love the Urkel pic! A real keeper for his scrapbook and ultimately to show his future dates!!!
Cold air return... BRUTAL!!
