1st day of gymnastics!

We decided to try out gymnastics...we thought this would be a great opportunity to help Braxton with a little more coordination and help him socialize with other kids his age. He absolutely loves every minute he is there. The first two weeks I had to drag him out of the building crying. Week two he was comfortable enough to do his own thing and ignore anything the teacher asked him to do. I finally had to go in and help redirect. But after practicing follow the leader at home and discussing the importance of sitting on our squares until it is our turn we did much better this week.

I've Been Tagged!

I've been photo tagged. The rules are to go to My Pictures and find the 6th file, then the 6th photo. So...Here you go! James graduated in 2005! Yey! He was not excited to walk, but me and his mom talked him into it.

I'm tagging anyone whose up for the challenge! :o)

Snow Day!

So...all of this snow has since melted...that we got two weeks ago today. In my last post, I'd talked about how it would snow again before Spring really got here. I guess I just had to prove I was right. There is about 17 inches of snow on my table...yes that is a ruler sitting there. We got some more snow today off and on, but it was only about an inch. Won't we all be happy when we finally get constant warm weather?

Weeds in March?

Sorry it has taken me so long to update the blog. We've been staying fairly busy with life and trying to keep up with James' work schedule. Today we got to work out in our yard for a few minutes. James was cleaning up after Sadie and I was putting down weed block. Yes! We already have weeds coming in all over the place. I didn't think it was as bad as it was until I got out there and really started looking at all the lovely weed sprouts attempting to take over my gigantic planter. We are excited to finally have the planter completed. James worked so hard last year to de-rock and bring in some mulch to make weeding easier for me. We hope to get some fun plants in this year. We are so happy that we are finally getting a small taste of what this Spring has yet to bring. We all know it will snow again...right?
Today Braxton had fun being outside spraying water all over. I can already tell it's going to be a fun filled wet Summer for us. We had a lot of fun playing in the backyard. Braxton is learning how to pump on the swings to keep himself going...and he is doing an excellent job. He's also doing so much better for all of you that knew he was terrified of the slide. The second picture here shows the remnants of the snow hill left in the yard that James made for sledding this year. This is the second year James created a sledding hill for Braxton by snowblowing all of the snow into a huge hill. This is a 'new' family tradition. We were excited to be outside playing 'on the grass'. We still have a ways to go before we will see the grass in the front yard...seeing as our house faces North and there are still about 2 feet in some areas. We are so thankful the warmer weather is finally headed our way.
